Dannii Minogue - This Is It: Best Of review.

So currently it's 01.23am in the UK & I'm laid in bed listening to Dannii Minogue's new song 'Cos You're Beautiful' off her new album, that came out at midnight 23/08, 'This Is It: Best Of'

This album contains songs right from the beginning such as 'Love And Kisses', '$ucce$$', 'Don't Wanna Take This Pain', one of my faves "This Is The Way" and many more. This new album also features songs from later in her music career such as "All I Wanna Do", "Disrememberance" & "Everything I Wanted". "Coconut" one of Dannii's songs which will guarentee make you giggle with the lyrics and sound made it to the album as well.

This Is It: The Best Of has one of Dannii's well known hit songs "I Begin To Wonder" and it features the amazing mash up of Madonna's "Into The Groove" & Dannii's song "I Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling" which is fabulous.

Not only does this album contain all these hits there are two bonus songs which Dannii had collaborated with. One of these songs is called "Cos You're Beautiful". The song was written by a former X Factor star Ruth Lorenzo which Dannii mentored on the show back in 2008. They both recorded this song in 2010 & fans were so excited to hear it. As you can imagine, we were so happy to hear it would be released on this next album, the wait is over! Another person Dannii has collaborated with is her big sis Kylie Minogue. They both sang the famous Abba track "The Winner Takes It All". With both their voices combined this track is literally breathtaking, their voices work so well together. This is the perfect collab if you're both a Dannii fan & a Kylie fan.

This Is It: Best Of is jammed full with 25 tracks of some of Dannii's hits through the years and is guarenteed to get you off your seat and dancing. This album will make you feel happy in no time. We all love Disco Dannii & so happy she's back with this greatest hits album. Woo!!!

Pitch Perfect Film Review

The 2012 musical film, ‘Pitch Perfect’, directed by Jason Moore (who has also directed Broadway show Les Miserables, as well as, TV shows such as One Tree Hill & Dawson’s Creek) is somewhat a comedy film and guaranteed to get you in stitches with its one liners. ‘Pitch Perfect’ stars actresses Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp. This film takes the aspect of, Disney film, High School Musical and completely revamped it to a modern style. The actors and actresses work together well to produce a feel good chick flick.

'Pitch Perfect' is typically set in a school but, with older students in a university as opposed to junior high. It brings ten girls together after doing the standard auditions to join a all-girls accapella singing group after failing the previous year at the finals. The auditions show that not all the ‘prettiest’ or ‘slimmest’ girls have got talent and this is what this film puts across to the teenage audience. It shows you that not everyone is the same and are all examples of what society consists of. The leading girl in the film, Becca, is not interested in uni life and wants to make it by being a leading record producer, which is quickly changed. She later in the film finds love, which has its ups and downs.

This outstanding block busting film takes both 'Bridesmaids' the film and 'Glee' the award winning show and mashes them together to create a quick-witted, easy to watch, first class marvel. ‘Pitch Perfect’ has suspense throughout which, while watching, makes your mind keep focused on the film. It elaborates on issues in the film but the underlying problems are what happens on a day to day basis with many teenagers.

If you are a ‘Gleek’ or interested in the cheesy musical films or generally interested in what girls have to say for other girls, I would highly recommend you should give this film a chance.. It is almost guaranteed to make you want to watch the film, over and over again.
